Mapo Tofu
This is probably the most popular Sichuan dish out there. Any Singapore Sichuan restaurant– such as the PARKROYAL On Kitchener Road Singapore – is sure to include this item on its menu. This is essentially a bean curd that’s topped off with a choice of minced meat.
Kung Pao Chicken
Kung Pao Chicken is another Sichuan classic that always hits the spot. The diced chicken is of course the hero of this dish – it’s accentuated with dry peppers and peanuts most of the time and is served hot and spicy.
The Hot Pot
If you really want to take your palate for a ride, things don’t get much hotter than the aptly named Sichuan hot pot. Slices of kidney and chicken chunks give from to this dish while all kinds of spices are used in conjunction with bean sprouts, mushrooms, and a bevy of other ingredients for additional flavour.
Dandan Noodles
This is another famous Sichuan dish that’s enjoyed by people all over the world. What makes these noodles so popular is the sheer variety of ingredients that ger mixed together here – vegetables, peppers, minced pork and so much more go into every dish.
