Sri Lankan Koththu
A dish you cannot say No to
If there’s any type of food that no one ever got bored of, it’s Kottu! If the spiciness is what your taste buds demand, this dish is for you in with its multiple varieties.
Masala Kottu
You don’t need to be in Colombo to taste a masala kottu since most of the Bentota restaurants also do offer you some best versions of this kottu type. The most common one is the chicken masala kottu, and its reddish colour shows you how spicy it can be.
String Hopper Kottu
One of the most preferred dinner buffet dishes at popular hotels the likes of Heritance Ahungalla, string hopper kottu is a string hopper pilau. They chop the string hopper s and then make a beautiful combination with veggies and meat.
Cheese Kottu
Although a cheese kottu can be slightly more expensive than a general kottu, it’s all worth it for the divine taste it offers. They add about half a bottle of ‘Kal Kiri’ (milk) and this is how they do this magic of making the dish extra milky.
Dolphin Kottu
Do not get confused by the name, this kottu has nothing to do with dolphins! The difference comes with larger Parata chunks put into this dish, and with more chilli flakes that get added.
