Must Try Thai Dishes
Exotic Thai Tastes
Thai food have a unique fusion of spice and fresh ingredients that tastes just right and cannot be experienced anywhere else in the world. But when in Thailand the extensive Thai menus at restaurants can be confusing and you might end up ordering the cliqued chicken fried rice or western food that tastes like old fruit.
Here are a few exotic Thai dishes you can enjoy during your trip to any part of Thailand as they are served in any restaurant such as the Khon Kaen restaurants including the exclusive restaurants in hotels and resorts such as AVANI Khon Kaen Hotel & Convention centre.
Firstly, the ‘Kao Phad’ or Thai Fried Rice. This is a famous street food of Thailand, greatly appreciated by both among tourists and locals. ‘Kao Phad’ is made of a type of meat of your choice (sea food, beef or chicken), garlic, egg and delicious Thai seasoning that makes it irresistible.
Next the ‘Geng Kheaw Wan Gai’ dish. Translated as green curry chicken, this is as spicy as fire and is easily the hottest dish in Thailand. Hence make sure you ask for a milder version when ordering. This dish will be served with beef, chicken or vegetarian depending on your preference. The dish is prepared with a green chili paste mixed with eggplants and Thai spices.
Next ‘Tom Yum Goong’ is an iconic sea food dish offered in Thailand. This is a hot and sour soup with loads of shrimp and lemongrass. An exquisite flavour offered nowhere else in the world. Although make sure to order a milder version if you have a sensitive tongue.
‘Khao Gan Jin’ translated as fried pork blood rice, is literally rice fried in pork blood. The rice is topped with fried garlic, cut up cucumbers and green onions. It its served wrapped in a banana leaf giving it that natural banana flavour.
Last but not the least ‘banana pancakes’. These are mostly offered by street carts selling pancakes and served with vanilla sauce; this is the best thing you’ll ever taste. These in fact come in various flavours such as such as strawberry, orange, vanilla chocolate or whatever else you can think of.
