Must-try Street Food in Kuala Lumpur
KL to excite the food junkies!
Yes, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia is a wealthy city, and you find all sorts of luxury restaurants everywhere! But does that mean there’s no chance for you who insanely love street food? No, KL is equally awesome for street food dishes as well.
Nasi Lemak
It’s the national dish in Malaysia. So, even if you are staying at any hotel near Bukit Bintang the likes of The Kuala Lumpur Journal Hotel, its restaurant will have this for you for sure!
Rendang
They use almost all kinds of meat to prepare this dish, but beef is the best. They add coconut milk and spices in it and there’s no gravy (sorry if you are a gravy lover!)
Laksa
KL is famous for its many kinds of noodle soup dishes. Enjoy laksa with prawns when you are in KL. If you are a vegetarian, you may enjoy laksa with a vegetable curry too. Since they use family recipes to make laksa, regional variations can be seen even within KL.
Hokkien Mee
This Chinese-inspired fried noodle dish is served with seafood most often. They use yellow noodles, although the other cities use different versions of the same.
