Chicken adobo

Chicken adobo is one of the most popular dishes you can find in Manila. It is a dish made with simple ingredients. “Adobo” is a Spanish word that translates to “marinade”. Chicken adobo is literally chicken marinated in a delicious mix of vinegar, soya sauce, and a few other ingredients and cooked to perfection.

Pancit

Pancit in Tagalong means noodles. And this was originally introduced by the chinese, ingredients such as chicken, pork, seafood, eggs and vegetables are stir friend together with egg noodles or rice vermicelli to make this delicious dish. It can be found at most of the street food stalls near popular places such as upscale Service Apartments in Makati the likes of Citadines Salcedo Makati or other places.

Kare Kare

Kare Kare is a strange but delicious addition to the Philippine cuisine which is oxtail stew. The tail and tripes of the ox are stewed with a variety of vegetables and garlic, onions, and peanuts for added taste. The stew is then served with a delicious shrimp sauce and chilli.

Kinilaw

Kinilaw is a raw fish salad that has quite a tang to it. Being served with Filipino lime juice, it has a generous amount of vinegar which will partially cook the meat in its acidity. The dish has onion, pepper, chilli, garlic, and ginger added to taste and it is certainly a dish worth a try.
