Mui Ne
What to Do and Where to Eat
Mui Ne is an eclectic little enclave of culture in Vietnam and is well worth a visit if you want a break from the usual tourist traps in the bigger cities around the country. You might want to try out the authentic offerings of a Vietnam hotel in Mui Ne, and be prepared to be blown away by the quality of service and amenities available across the board, especially in a resort in Mui Ne that caters to international visitors. The Anantara Mui Ne Resort & Spa provides guests with the perfect amount of pampering designed to make a vacation at this gorgeous tropical locale truly unforgettable. The city itself offers an array of activities to enhance your stay and broaden your Mui Ne experience. Explore Mui Ne via a motorbike (easily rentable) at dawn to marvel at the first fishing catches of the day, and check out the morning market in Mui Ne village from dawn to about 10am. Bike the sand dunes located around about 12 kilometres outside the town proper for some adrenaline-pumping action! Or, the city is also a popular venue for kitesurfing and a range of schools in the city will set you up with equipment and lessons, if need be. Nature lovers would enjoy a hike to Fairy Springs, which is a short walk from the town and well worth it for the natural splendour of the falls. Hikers might also want to visit the scenic Takou Mountain and the nature reserve for a welcome adventure out in nature. After you’re done with the sightseeing, enjoy a welcome bite at one of the city’s many restaurants dishing up a delicious array of local and international cuisine. Cay Bang Restaurant specializes in Vietnamese seafood and is a popular option frequented by locals and foreigners alike.
Be prepared for fast service, ocean views and delectable seafood that’ll have you clamouring for more. Chasseaur Blanc restaurant is a charming little bistro that is very popular with the Mui Ne expat crowd, if you want to wine and dine with some folks from back home. Joe’s Café is a great option if you’re up late, as it’s open 24/7 and serves some great breakfast all day, as well as lunch and dinner in a laid-back atmosphere. The coffee really sells the place! Italian foodies would love the pizza and pasta offerings at the ever-popular Luna d’Autunno Restaurant. For cuisine that’s a little different, head over to Sandals Restaurant, which dishes out a delectable fusion of Mediterranean and Asian food for a casual lunch or a formal dinner, presented within great ambiance and fantastic ocean views at the Mia Resort.
