Falafel

These fried snacks that resemble patties or cutlets can be enjoyed anywhere including food stalls or even restaurants in hotels like the Desert Islands Resort & Spa by Anantara. Made mostly of ground chickpeas and served with a spicy sauce or dip, Falafel is another must-try and can even be enjoyed in various forms and versions.

Al Machboos

Known for its similarities to an Indian biriyani, this one-pot dish is a large serving of rice with vegetables and meat which can include chicken, beef, lamb or shrimp. Saloona
