Hua Hin’s night market is a hub of culinary delights, offering a diverse range of street food options to satisfy every palate. Discover its signature stalls and must-try dishes, for a taste of coastal Thailand.

Grilled & Skewered Seafood

The market is a mecca for seafood, often found skewered or grilled, and marinating in spicy flavours. Racks of tender squid grilled to perfection are displayed by vendors, while juicy prawns grilled on skewers are served with a sweet and tangy dipping sauce. Fish balls, a local speciality, can also be found at the market, outside the usual Hua Hin restaurants, fried till crispy and accompanied by yet another flavourful sauce.

Green Mango and Nam Pla Wan (Sweet Fish Sauce)

Crunchy slices of green mango are served alongside nam pla wan, a “fruit dip” made of shrimp paste, fish sauce and chilli peppers, sweetened with the decadent flavour of palm sugar. It’s a perfect accompaniment to the grilled seafood or a hearty plate of seafood fried rice back at your hotel room, such as with in-room dining at Anantara Hua Hin Resort.

Lod Chong (Coconut Milk Fruit Dessert With Grass “Worms”)

Cool down with this refreshing dessert, a concoction of rice-stuffed grass jellies and coconut milk, infused with sweetened water and topped with slices of jackfruit. The sweet and creamy flavours are a perfect respite from the heat.
