Exploring the best dishes in Thailand is something that most of the travellers love to do, and most often they choose Bangkok for their food adventures. But Phuket is an ideal city too with many restaurants and cafes, you will not be disappointed with their local dishes.
Tom Yum Goong
Well, this is a popular soup dish that you’ll find at any Thai restaurant in Phuket. The soup is both spicy and sour and it indeed produces a great flavour with the mixed seafood that comes in it.
Pad Thai
This dish is made with rice noodles that are stir-fried in a pan. What you may not know is that this has a Southern Chinese origin, maybe because Chinese chives are usually added as the finishing touch.
Som Tam
In Phuket, you find many fine-dining restaurants such as Dee Plee and they normally have a unique dish named the ‘green papaya salad’ on their menus. Som Tam is basically a spicy and crunchy salad and of course, is one of the most delicious dishes in the world.
Massaman Curry
Although this dish has a heavy Indian and Persian influence on it, it’s a local dish. It’s a curry filled with dry spices usually served with rice.
