A traditional breakfast looks very fishy. This dish is called Mas Huni and it’s a simple combination and is essentially tuna mixed with plenty of freshly grated coconut. This is served accompanied with freshly baked Roshi or even chapatti.

Preparation
Usually, preparations begin early in the morning after their customary early morning prayers, by getting the dough ready. You will find that most Maldives island restaurants the likes of Adaaran Select Meedhupparu serve this traditional dish for breakfast.

Rihaakuru
This is a paste made out of tuna. Rihaakuru has a variety of colours from brown to jet brown. If you are in the company of a local, you will notice that they consume this paste almost daily. It tastes good, but the procedure of extracting it from tuna is not that easy.
