A popular sweet street food, this traditional dessert cendol consists of a green jelly served with shaved ice, red beans and palm sugar. Don’t even think of leaving Malaysia without trying this delicious meat on a stick! Satays are world renowned as being juicy succulent strips of well marinated chicken, beef or lamb on a skewer. The satay tastes best when dipped in spicy nut sauce or sambal.

Nasi Kerabu is a local favourite. The steamed blue rice makes this dish Instagram worthy – usually mixed with local herbs, spices and vegetables. Originating from Kelantan, this dish is great for healthy eaters!
