Food Trucks on the Sunshine Coast
Foodie Delights in Queensland
Are you are the kind of person who enjoys watching programmes that showcase the delectable delights offered by food trucks, while inwardly groaning, knowing that your cravings are going to sky-rocket? Well if you plan on taking a holiday to the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, the good news is that you will have plenty of opportunities to satiate your hunger pangs! In keeping with the growing worldwide food truck phenomenon, the Sunshine Coast too has quite a number of such mobile eateries that let you sample truly creative dishes and bites. Of course, in order to access these food truck locations, it helps to find centrally located holiday accommodation Sunshine Coast has to offer. A place to stay along the Sunshine Strip is a great choice and options such as Oaks Seaforth Resort are worth considering.
Once you have settled in, it’s time for some food truck hopping! The Good Food Fellas is one truck worth “hunting” down with its tantalising array of dishes that have influences of cuisine from Asia and South Africa. Smokey pulled beef and Chinese egg roll omelette infused with pork belly are amongst the delicacies that have been served here, though the menu does change daily so you never know what tantalising treat awaits. Check out their FB page to see where they will be heading.
The brainchild of chef Jason Sierra, One World Food Truck offers food with a distinctive Latin and Spanish flavour. Of course, you also get some flavourful Italian creations and exotic curry dishes too. Highlights include the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich and the El Toro Loco Burger.
If you love your salads, you will love The Sprouted Kitchen for they transform salads into gourmet meals. Run by two sisters, this fascinatingly decorated food truck doesn’t only serve greens; the pulled pork with an almonds and feta infused vegetable salad is worth trying.
Last but not least, there’s Maribelle’s Street Food which knows how to stand out with its black painted van and vibrant flowers. Just as colourful, are its dishes with spice filled meatballs, canapés, Bahn Mi rolls, delicious desserts and more providing a foodie treat.
